In my first year of University we were briefed to create a physical Neopixel clock. We designed our physical body in fusion 360 at the same time as we were learning about code and how to code a Neopixel ring to behave like a clock. Furthermore, we needed to add another special function to the clock, where I decided to create a clock that would display surf tide levels at a specific beach. It would show, high, low and mid tide. I found a code library that had been made with exoected water hights at different times over the year - unaffected by weather. I used this library and mapped it to the neo pixel ring to have it display different tide hights.
Looking back, I wish I would have learned even more about code, however it was one of my first projects in UNI, and the pandemic has just hit which made the situation a bit tricky in terms of University. I would also have explored a few more 3d designs for the clock before deciding the exact shape.
