A game teaching about the air pollution of London
In 2021 our class was challenged with a live brief Outernet to create content for their new building in central London. We were briefed to create an Immersive Experience to be used in their new building. We were encouraged to use sensors, depth cameras and other technical supplies as tools in out design. My response to this brief was to create a game teaching the viewers about the air pollution of London in a fun and egnaging way. The user could drive around in a city and experience the city in a polluted or unpolluted state as well ar read about facts contributing to better air in London.
During this project I once again got to work with industry clients which was a great learning opportunity. The biggest challenge with this project was to use the game engine Unity to its fullest and learn those techniques from scratch. Furthermore it was very interesting to think in the sense of big screens and spacial design. Looking back I would have thought further about implementation as i believe I could have made the steering control easier to install in the space without using any external panels.
