Experience brand design with filters
In this project we were assigned a very open brief and the possibility to investigate AR, VR, machine learning and 3D modelling. For my project I chose a target group at the store of IKEA. The result of my project became an idea that could be implemented in their warehouse. The target group of my choice was “parents shopping with restless kids at IKEA.” The purpose of my idea was to help the parents have a smooth shopping experience while their kids also could be occupied with fun learning experiences connected to the history of IKEA. I wanted to create an experience where both parents and kids could have a good time at IKEA while experiencing the brand of IKEA.
Creating this project was quite a challenge due to the tight time limit. The entire project including all the research was created in 2,5 week. During the process I interviewed several people and conducted research with surveys, which both are methods that depend on other people and also are quite time consuming. The main take away from this project was the realisation of time scope and what is feasible in a short amount of time. Even though I did finish the project within the time span I could have considered other research methods and project approaches more appropriate to the short time span.
